Chaitra Navratri begins with Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra and the festival begins with Ugadi in Andhra Pradesh .

What's the Story Behind Navratri ? 

Navratri is a time when Hindus celebrate the Goddess Durga for killing the Demon , Mahishasura . 

A more powerful God, Lord Brahma ,had blessed Mahishasura with the gift of immortality because of his dedication to him, which means he could never die.

However, this gift did come with one condition - only person who would be able to defeat Mahishasura would be a woman.

Over the years Mahishasura attacking peoples on Earth and no Gods were able to defeat him.

Finally Lord Brahma , Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva decided to come together and create Goddess Durga , A more powerful Goddess whose job would be to destroy Mahishasura.

Goddess Durga fought the demon for 10 Days and able to defeat him .



Foods for Navratri Fasting

During the fast of Navratri , only having milk , water , fruits and nuts during the day, followed by full meal after sunset. Some peoples only have water and simple meal at night.

How to make life Easier 

Life can get busy and it is not always our making. There are so many factors that comes in to play. Work , family , friends , health related issues ,financial issues and things to do so on .



When I was think to write about this post , I asked myself some questions ..

  • How can I make my life less difficult? 
  • How can I make my life more comfortable ?
  • How can I make everyday life easier ?

So I made a list of things which I have done which make my life so simple and easier .

Different ways to Make Life easier

So here are some ideas that may be also help or make your life simple and easier .So check out this and find what ways works for you.


1. Live the life based on your standard ,Not the expectations of the peoples.

The biggest problem is that we are making our life more and more difficult. What peoples will think of us what people will say about us .

Don't think and don't look others peoples what they think about you .Just live the life based on your needs , standards , not the expectations of the peoples . Don't try to fulfill the expectations of others .

For Example , You have high paying job and peoples expect you to have a big Car and own big properties but this all is useless for you and you don't want those such things. Other peoples has always something to say , So it is pointless to satisfy them.


2. Live Simply by avoiding Comparisons .

According to me this is a another reasons from this you make your life bit complicated why you can't live simply is that you keep comparing your life with others life.

By removal of this you can make life easier and simple.

For example,  You see others peoples travelling  a lot so that the desire to roam inside you also awakens even when actually  you are not interested  in it. 

You see other peoples eating in high pricey hotels and restaurants then you did the same thing while actually you want to eat home cooked meal. 

Avoid comparing yourself with others form this you can make your life bit easier.


3. Limit the time on Browsing the Internet , Social Media.

Now a days most of the peoples spending their time on browsing the internet and social media like Facebook , Twitter ,Instagram etc. Children spend their maximum times by playing online games and forget to play in natural environment .

You get unsatisfied with your life and you can't live simply. Stay connected and updated with internet and social media but don't  let them steal you from the real world.


4. Simplify Your Finance .

Money is a necessary and managing it wisely is always a good thing. But some of us ,the management of money is so difficult due to this we make our life stressful.

Make it easier :

  • Create a monthly budget to keep on top of your monthly income
  • Shop wisely 
  • Make a plan to deal with any debt.

5. Appreciate the simple things .

When was the last time you looked up the tree and appreciated the shade they give you , not to mention the oxygen they provide for free ? 
When was the last time you felt the rain on your skins and appreciated the coolness it gives .All those are free appreciated them.


6. Define Your Priorities .

Have you ever recognized the true priorities of your daily life . What is important for you and not. Firstly find those important priorities .

A new car , A bike and a Big Home ? Will this make your kids and your family happy ? 

Take a moment and identify you true priorities in your life and try to appreciate the good values of the simpler things in life .

One drawback is that some peoples constantly stick with phone and keep taking photos due to this they forget to enjoy the trip .
To fully enjoy those times, though, put down the cameras and be in the moment.


2. Explore the place, where possible by foot or public transport

Visit  a place where you can walk or travel with your feet or public transport and explore the place . Sometimes weather is not favorable to travel (Rain ,Sunny) as well as personal reasons. However ,Do try and walk between activities because you end up finding hidden spots and or new things to do along the way.



Whenever you travel through walk or through feet then you meet with new peoples and learn  valuable informative things. 
On the other side whenever you  travel through public transport likes trains ,buses etc. allow you to view various beautiful streets ,peoples and architecture etc.

3. Interact with Locals

When you visit somewhere new places which is filled with new citizens and peoples try to interact with these peoples. These are the peoples who give culture, beauty and experience to place. 

The locals are as much part of an area as the scenery is.  

Speak to the locals and try to understand more about their lives, culture and languages. With this you understand the culture of different area / regions how they live and how they earn their livelihood .

4. Try as much local food as possible

Whenever you go for Travel in different areas or regions in worldwide try to taste the local food as much as possible .Because every regions have some unique dishes in their food .Local food is always cheaper and delicious you'll be missing it when you are home. 
No matter where you are in the world, the best thing you can do is follow the lead of the locals. When you see the group of locals drinking the same type of coffee or something other go find that coffee because that coffee or something other obviously a speciality .


5. Learn part of the places History

Every place of the world have some history or speciality so try to understand and read the history of that place you travel somewhere .

The place got its name after the great miracle that occurs occasionally . The Shiva - Lingam is struck by lightening and it breaks into pieces , then the priest of the temple collects all the pieces and joins them together with the help of butter .

Bakhli Eco Tourism nature park is situated a small village Bakhli which is situated at a distance of 22 kms from District Mandi Himachal Pradesh . The work of nature park also in progress. Its a great initiative of Himachal Govt. by developing nature park in such a small village . 

There are so many beautiful places in Himachal . Village Bakhli is one of them such beautiful places which  is situated at the feet of Maa Baglamukhi. The work of this park is in progress . The nature park Bakhli area is on the banks of the Beas river.




The work of nature park is being done under the care of Forest department of Himachal Govt. At the mid of this year (2022) the work of Nature park likely to be completed . 

You can easily reach this nature park with the help of personal vehicles.

Keeping all the things in mind , this nature park is being built . So in this article I am going to discuss about those such things which makes this nature park so different and beautiful.

Spoiled food is not necessarily unsafe to eat but it is generally regarded as unpotable and will not be purchased or consumed. Food spoilage renders economic loss to producers, distributors and consumers in the form of reduced quality and quantity as well as high prices.
    




Since food are organic material , they provide nutrients for the growth of a wide variety of heterotrophic micro organism .

The physical and chemical characteristics of food determine its degree of susceptibility to microbial activity.


Causes of Food Spoilage

Food Preservations

Food is very valuable . Preserving food can help to avoid wasting of food. Food Preservation is the process in which food is stored by special methods. Cooked or uncooked food can be preserved in different ways to be used later. Some methods of food preservation are:

  • Freezing
  • Boiling 
  • Salting
  • Sweetening
  • Dehydration 
  • Canning
Freezing:
              Food stored in a refrigerator remains fresh for some days. Bacteria do not grow easily in cool places . We can preserve some food items like milk, Fruits , Vegetables and cooked food by keeping them in refrigerator.

Boiling: 
                 By this method, we can preserve food for a short period of time. Bacteria in milk are killed by pasteurization  i.e the process in which milk boiled for sometimes and then cooling it quickly .

Salting:
             We can add salts in some food items like fish and pickles. 

Sweetening: 
                Excess amount of sugar in food also act as preservative. We store food for long time in the form of gems and murabbas by adding sugar in them.

Dehydration:
                        In this method some food items dried in the sun to avoid them from growing bacteria . Some food items likes raw mangoes , fishes , potato chips etc. are preserved by this method.

Canning: 
                                   In this method air is removed from food and put in airtight Cans so bacteria do not grow in them.


Conclusion : At the last we can concluded that food is valuable and must be preservative . To ensure safety of food products , quality control, assurance through routine microbiological examination of food products for pathogens and food organisms , confirmation of proper pasteurization  and checking of leakages in cans are required.
